Construction Permits

The Clerk/Treasurer's Office is responsible for the issuance of construction permits. There are two types of construction permits issued by the Town. Structural permits which can cover a variety of work such as re-roofs, remodels, and all new construction. Mechanical permits which cover electrical, HVAC, and plumbing work. Each construction permit is valid for one year from the date of issuance. Only licensed electricians, plumbers, or HVAC specialists can acquire a mechanical permit and only a licensed general contractor can obtain a structural permit at a commercial property.
