2024 Event Permit Information & Pricing

2024 Permitted Events

Solar Eclipse on April 8, 2024
Permitting begins Monday, March 25th, and concludes at noon on Monday, April 8th, 2024.

GMR Grand Prix and 108th Running of the Indianapolis 500  
Permitting begins Wednesday, May 1st, and concludes at noon on Saturday, May 25th, 2024.

NASCAR Brickyard Weekend
Permitting begins on Monday, July 8th, and concludes on Friday, July 19th, 2024.

Application for Race Permits must be made in person at the Clerk-Treasurer's Office.

Food Stand or Merchandise Stand

Any food stand or merchandise stand needs to obtain an Indiana registered retail merchant
certificate (RRMC) taxpayer identification number (TID) from the Indiana Department of Revenue
Indiana Government Center North 100 N. Senate Ave, Indianapolis. 

Any food stand not selling prepackaged food needs a temporary food license from the Marion County Board of Health,

      • 200 square feet or less (10X20, 10X10, two 8 ft. tables) $300
      • 200-300 square feet (10X30, 20X15, three 8 ft. tables) $400
      • 300-500 square feet (20X20, 20X25, 4-6 8 ft. tables) $500
      • 501 square feet or larger (20X40, 20X30, and larger) $650
    • Vehicles/Trailers
      • 30 feet or less $250
      • 31 feet or more $500
    • Food Stand  
      • $200 with Board of Health Permit + RRMC
    • Ice Permit  
      • $30
    • Roaming Permit 
      • $250 with Town approval
