From the Town Manager’s Office

Speedway Town Manager, Jacob Blasdel and Speedway resident, Maggie Bishop traveled to San Antonio this month as co-chairs of the Indy Chamber’s Leadership Exchange program, Advance317. This group, founded in 2015, gathers an exclusive group of young leaders to explore how other metros live, work, and play. Each year, the delegation of over 100 corporate executives and community leaders travel to a different metropolitan area to learn what challenges the region is facing, what successes they’ve had, and how their examples can play a role in the development of Central Indiana. This year there were several familiar faces from the Town of Speedway in attendance. “It was a valuable experience and great to see several young leaders from Speedway engaged in the trip and thinking about ways we can improve our community,” stated Jacob Blasdel.
