Town News

  • Trick or Treat Hours: Trick or Treat hours will be 6pm-8pm in Speedway. Also, if you'd like to register your home for the "teal pumpkin project" which helps kids with allergies join in the festivities, too, please do so at tealpumpkinproject.org. You can also find allergy-friendly treats on their website!

  • The Town of Speedway to Host a Public Forum on October 24th. The Town of Speedway has received preliminary approval from FEMA to revise its Flood Insurance Map so that residents in the area of the Dry Run Diversion are no longer in a flood zone. It is anticipated that the maps will be officially approved on January 24th, 2020. The town will hold a public forum on October 24th from 5:30 to 6:30 PM at the Speedway Town Hall to provide the opportunity for residents to see the revised maps, speak with the project engineers, and have their questions answered.   • Meadowood Park Basketball Memorial Plaque Installed: A new plaque has been installed in Meadowood Park honoring the rich history of basketball in the park. Keep an eye on SCTV and the Speedway Parks pages for a video update of the dedication and stop by the plaque in Meadowood Park!

  • West Side Community Infrastructure Event: Jacob Blasdel, town manager, attended a bipartisan, community outreach event hosted by Representative Macer this week to discuss road, sidewalk, and train infrastructure in Marion County. Residents were able to ask questions and discuss concerns with community leaders.
