  • Peter and the Starcatcher premiers TONIGHT! Speedway High School's drama department is presenting their 2019 Fall Production: Peter and the Starcatcher. Learn a little about the show and how to get tickets here. Let’s fill the auditorium and support our local young artists.

  • Town Offices will be closed Tuesday, November 5th for Election Day. Don’t forget to get out and vote on November 5th! For more information about our local election, click here.

  • Speedway Students Among Top Performers in State: The Indiana Department of Education recently released statewide scores for the ISTEP+ Grade 10 Math and English exams. Speedway High School was among the State’s top performers having 66.7% of its students pass both the Math and English exams, the highest performance of any public high school in Marion County and the fourth highest performing public school statewide.   • Town Council met Monday, October 28th: The Town Council met on Monday, October 28th at 7pm in the second regular session of the month of October. The agenda for Monday’s council meeting can be found online: bit.ly/TC102819. This meeting was public and can be viewed on SCTV’s YouTube page. During the meeting, the Town Council reviewed the proposed 2020 budgets for a second reading. For copies of the budget ordinances, click here. Each ordinance will was open for public comment during the meeting. The budgets will now be reviewed by the Department of Local Government Finance.

  • Dry Run Diversion: Christopher B. Burke Engineering, LLC has provided a digital copy of the new FEMA maps to be approved on January 24th. For more information about the Dry Run project click here or to be directed to the new map click here.

  • Speedway TownTalk is calling all artists and authors: Speedway TownTalk invites you to share your art, your stories, and your creativity with others in our community. Hilton Tapestry Hotel: “Our Speedway Redevelopment Commission has requested further details from Loftus Robinson on the current work stoppage to evaluate if we can help mitigate issues they might be facing. We have worked hard on the revitalization of Main Street, undergoing many redevelopment projects, and we understand the challenges that inherently come with development.
