SPEEDWAY PARK RULES
HOURS:  Sunrise to Sunset (DAYLIGHT HOURS ONLY)

These rules & regulations are set to ensure the safety of visitors and staff, maintain clean and beautiful grounds and facilities, protect the wildlife and plants, and provide enjoyment, without breaching the peace of the surrounding neighborhood and resident homes bordering the parks.

  • No smoking or vaping of any kind allowed anywhere in Speedway Parks.
  • No alcohol, tobacco products, or drugs allowed anywhere in Speedway Parks.
  • No driving, parking, loading/unloading on the grass or walking paths.  All vehicles must remain in designated parking spots and on the road.  Absolutely NO VEHICLES on the grounds of the parks.
  • No glass allowed.
  • No bounce houses, pop-up tents, inflatables, or structures of any kind shall be erected.
  • No fireworks, archery, use of weapons, including BB, paint, air, or gas propelled guns.
  • No selling food or goods.  No person may use park property for profit.
  • No overnight camping.  No horseback riding.
  • No motorized model airplanes, drones, cars, scooters, etc.  No projectiles, rockets, or propelled devices.
  • No amplified music or sound equipment allowed at a volume where the lyrics are clear beyond 50 feet.
  • Decorations may be secured with removable tape.  Nothing should be adhered in such a manner to damage the facility.  No nails, no hooks, no tacks, no staples, no hot glue, or similar.
  • No decorations or items allowed on any trees, bushes, electrical boxes, signposts, etc.  This includes balloons, ribbons, piñatas, flags, etc.
  • No confetti, glitter, silly string, chalk drawings, or similar allowed in or around shelters and gazebo.
  • All trash must be disposed of in trash cans.  If trash exceeds the space of the trash cans, you must remove it.
  • Items brought into the park must be removed at the conclusion of visit.  This includes, but is not limited to, food, decorations, grills, boxes, or other equipment, and any trash that does not fit in trash cans provided.
  • Pets must be on a leash, of no more than 12 feet, at all times while in the parks.
  • Pet excrement must be picked up immediately and properly disposed of.
  • No offensive, obscene, profane, or violent language or conduct allowed.  This includes music lyrics.
  • No grills allowed within any park structure.  Cooking fires are permitted in the park’s charcoal grill available with each shelter (no grill with gazebo).  DO NOT dump charcoal or ashes on the ground.  Ashes should remain in the grills for park personnel to properly dispose of.  No open burning.
  • No bikes, skateboards, or activities on playground, tennis/pickleball courts, ball diamonds, or inside facilities as they can be damaging to surfaces.  Areas shall only be used as designated.
  • Any damage or defacement of property, violations of above listed rules, or violations of any Speedway Parks & Recreation or Town of Speedway ordinances, whether listed above or not, will be subject to fines, fees, and reimbursement of damages.
  • Violations of Speedway Parks & Recreation or Town of Speedway ordinances are subject to fines of $150 for each violation, in addition, up to a $250 clean-up fee, as well as full compensation for any damages.
  • Select exceptions made only by approval of the Speedway Parks & Recreation Board.

It is the responsibility of each visitor to understand and abide by all rules & regulations while visiting a Speedway Park or participating in a Parks program or event.  Help us maintain clean, safe, and fun gathering spaces while being mindful of the neighborhood surrounding the parks.
