Clerk-Treasurer
The Clerk-Treasurer is elected by residents every four years and is responsible for the finances for the Town of Speedway. The Clerk-Treasurer may administer oaths, take depositions, and take acknowledgments of instruments as required by law. The current Clerk-Treasurer is Philip Foust.
Duties of the Clerk-Treasurer's Office
- Administering billing and accounting for Town utilities
- Administering payroll for the Town
- Attending Town Council meetings
- Issuing licenses
- Maintaining all Town Council proceeding records
- Maintaining budget line items throughout the fiscal year
- Managing finances for the Town
- Preparing budget proposals to the Town Council
