Clerk-Treasurer

The Clerk-Treasurer is elected by residents every four years and is responsible for the finances for the Town of Speedway. The Clerk-Treasurer may administer oaths, take depositions, and take acknowledgments of instruments as required by law. The current Clerk-Treasurer is Philip Foust.

Duties of the Clerk-Treasurer's Office

  • Administering billing and accounting for Town utilities
  • Administering payroll for the Town
  • Attending Town Council meetings
  • Issuing licenses
  • Maintaining all Town Council proceeding records
  • Maintaining budget line items throughout the fiscal year
  • Managing finances for the Town
  • Preparing budget proposals to the Town Council
