2023 State of the Town Held - "Despite any challenges that come our way, this community emerges strong, smart-thinking, and continues to think strategically on how to best meet the future," Town Council President Vince Noblet stated as the program began.

The 2023 State of the Town was held last night, February 13, at the Speedway Municipal Center. There were over 100 attendees with another 100 Live streaming the program into their homes.

"Despite any challenges that come our way, this community emerges strong, smart-thinking, and continues to think strategically on how to best meet the future," Town Council President Vince Noblet stated as the program began. "There is so much good that goes on in Speedway, and so many positive things happening."

The State of the Town program began with the entrance of the Speedway Fire Department and Speedway Police Department Honor Guard conducting the flag ceremony. Speedway High School student, Presley Sears lead a beautiful rendition of the National Anthem following the Pledge of Allegiance and Rev. Katie Griffin with Speedway Christian Church offered a wonderful invocation of gratitude and prayer for this community.

Dr. Trebley and Mr. Dizney with Speedway Schools were in attendance and Dr. Trebley delivered an update sharing the impressive work and accomplishments within the Speedway Schools - thanks to the students, teachers, employees, leaders, and families.

The Town was also honored to welcome guest speaker Doug Boles, President of Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Mr. Boles, in his typical fashion, delivered an energetic and engaging update on IMS and the mutual appreciation between the Town of Speedway and IMS for continually working together to make Speedway the best community possible.

The goal of the State of the Town address is to provide the community valuable information about the work that has taken place here in Speedway, along with the many exciting plans on the horizon of 2023.
