Animal Control - Lost Pets

The Town of Speedway is so fortunate to have a town that cares about animals.

In Speedway, animal control works like this: stray/lost animals found within town limits are transported to the Speedway Street Department, where they are held for 4 business days. Dogs and cats can be reclaimed here with proof of ownership and payment of fines. If no owner comes forward after 4 days, animals are turned over to Speedway Animal Rescue.

While in the care of the Speedway Street Department, blankets are available for comfort. Heat is provided in the winter, and the holding area is air-conditioned in the summer. Hygiene is taken very seriously, and Speedway Animal Rescue has approved these hygiene protocols. Speedway Animal Rescue provides supplies such as food, leashes, crates, and anything they need.
