Ordinance No. 1072

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 10.12 OF THE SPEEDWAY MUNICIPAL CODE CONCERNING PARKING RESTRICTIONS

WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Speedway, Indiana (the "Town") has determined it necessary to provide loading zones for the purpose of loading and unloading materials.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Town Council of the Town of Speedway, Indiana that Chapter 10.12 of the Speedway Municipal Code is amended to read as follows:

Section 1. Section 10.12.175 of the Speedway Municipal Code is added to read as follows:

"10.12.175 Reserved Parking Area for Loading Zones. The Town Council of the Town may determines the location of loading zones and shall place and maintain appropriate signs indicating the same. No person shall stop, stand, or park a vehicle for any purpose or period of time other than for the expeditious loading or unloading of passengers or materials in any place marked as a loading zone during the time applicable to such loading zone."

Section 2. This Ordinance shall be effective upon passage.
