NOTICE OF WATER LINE FLUSHING

The Town of Speedway Water Works will begin its regularly scheduled water line flushing at fire hydrants beginning the evening of April 2, 2024, through Thursday, April 4, 2024.

Flushing will take place between the hours of 7 p.m. - 11 p.m. Flushing will begin on the south side of Speedway and continue north.

Controlled flushing ensures consistent water circulation throughout the water distribution system. While hydrant flushing may cause temporary discoloration to your water, there is no health hazard associated with discolored water. Water is safe to use and consume during hydrant flushing, however, it is advised to avoid doing laundry during this time to avoid fabric stains.
