NEW HOTEL OPENING IN FOUNDERS SQUARE

Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton is ready to welcome guests to Speedway

(Speedway, Ind.) A new hotel property is opening its doors just in time to welcome guests to the 2023 Indianapolis 500 Race. Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton, located in the newly developed Founders Square, is officially open.

Hotel management company, MHG Indiana, LLC began development of the Hampton Inn & Suites in December 2021 at the popular 25-acre Founders Square location near I-465 and Crawfordsville Road in Speedway. Hampton Inn & Suites is located at 2608 Founders Square Drive.

“This is an important piece of the Founders Square development project,” said Speedway Town Manager Grant Kleinhenz. “Hampton Inn & Suites is going to be an excellent place to welcome guests, and what better time for their opening than in May. The addition of this hotel represents the continued investment taking place throughout the Town of Speedway.”

The Hampton Inn & Suites is a full-service, six-story hotel offering 129 overnight rooms, 10,000 square feet of conference space, and 5,000 square feet of space that includes a restaurant and bar. They offer modern and spacious rooms along with amenities such as complimentary breakfast and a state-of-the-art fitness center and pool.

Hampton Inn & Suites joins the Founders Square development that currently includes a Crew Car Wash, ALDI Grocery Store, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers and the future 60-unit Founders Square Senior Apartments and First Financial Bank currently under construction. As part of the Founders Square development, the Town invested $5,000,000 in new infrastructure improvements, sitework, and a new intersection at 25th Street and High School Road. “When fully built out, the Town’s investment will have leveraged over $50,000,000 in private investment,” said Todd Cook, the Town’s Economic Development Director. The Weston School and a Residence Inn are planned on the two remaining sites in Founders Square.

“We are excited to welcome the Hampton Inn & Suites to our community,” said Kleinhenz. “We want to thank MHG Indiana for the continued vision, investment, and commitment in growing the Town of Speedway as a destination place to visit.”
