TOWN OF SPEEDWAY 2024 RESIDENT ACADEMY GRADUATES

The Town of Speedway Resident Academy recently celebrated its second class of graduates. The 2024 class consisted of 24 graduates who were recognized by Speedway Town Council for completing the five-session program that invites residents to experience an inside look at Town operations. Participants tour Town facilities, learn about the day-to-day responsibilities and operations, gain a greater understanding of the budget process and the Town’s financial standing, all while learning how Town services are provided.

“We were very pleased with the number of residents who actively participated again this year,” said Town Manager Grant Kleinhenz. “We want to support more civic involvement and the Resident Academy creates a segway for residents to become more active in local events and serving on Town Boards and Commissions.” Resident Academy helps attendees learn about Town issues, challenges, and goals – positioning them as part of a more-informed Speedway population who understands the inner workings of the Town.

Resident Academy was introduced to the Town in 2023. Information will be shared 2025 first quarter announcing dates and enrollment details for the next Town of Speedway Resident Academy.
