Stand Permit Guidelines

• Separate permits must be obtained for sales of food, ice, and nonfood merchandise.
• Stand permit holders may have up to 6 people working in the stand.
• Sale of any item without the proper permit is a violation of law, and may subject the seller to a fine, confiscation of merchandise, and other penalties.
• Obstructing or hindering pedestrians or automobile traffic is prohibited.
• Sales locations are limited to the location(s) specified on the permit application. Sales from other locations and sales from mobile carts and portable devices are prohibited and may result in revocation of the permit and other penalties, including fines.
• The possession or sale of merchandise that contains protected trademarks, service marks or copyrighted material with out the consent of the trademark, service mark, or copyright owner is a violation of law and may subject the vendor to civil and/or criminal penalties, including confiscation of the infringing or counterfeit merchandise.
• Sales of any merchandise on or to a person on Indianapolis Motor Speedway Corporation ("IMS") property, including sales in IMS parking lots or through IMS fences, is a violation of IMS policy, and is prohibited, unless permission to make such sales is expressly granted, in advance, by the IMS.
• The Cost(s) of a Stand Permit are as follows:  
  Food Stand  $200.00 per stand
  Non Food Temporary Structure 200sq.ft. or less  $300.00
  Non Food Temporary Structure 200-300 sq.ft.$400.00
  Non Food Temporary Structure 300-500 sq.ft.$500.00
  Non Food Temporary Structure >500sq.ft. $650.00

Non Food Merchandise Vehicle
Less than 30ft.   $250.00
Greater than 31ft.  $500.00
Ice Stand or Ice Machine  $30.00
Mobile ice vendor  $250.00 (must have prior approval before obtaining permit)

Individuals in violation of these guidelines may have their wares, tickets, money, and permits confiscated without warning.
