Town of Speedway activates Speedway Municipal Center as Cooling Center for Wednesday, July 15, 12 p.m. - 4 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for our area that will be in effect tomorrow, July 15, 2026.

To help residents stay safe during the extreme heat, the Town of Speedway will activate the Speedway Municipal Center as a Cooling Center.

Cooling Center Hours:
     Wednesday, July 15
     12 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Location:
     Motegi Meeting Room
     Lower Level of the Speedway Municipal Center

Anyone in need of a break from the heat is welcome to stop by and enjoy a cool, air-conditioned space during these hours.

Complimentary cold bottled water will be available, generously provided by Culligan UltraPure. We sincerely appreciate their continued partnership and commitment to supporting the Speedway community.

The Motegi Meeting Room is located on the lower level of the Municipal Center. Both stairs and an elevator are available on the left side of the main lobby entrance for easy access.

Please remember to:

  • Stay hydrated.
  • Limit time outdoors during the hottest part of the day.
  • Check on older adults, young children, neighbors, pets, and anyone who may be more vulnerable to extreme heat.
