Town Council adopts ordinance recertifying Election District map for Town of Speedway

After each decennial census is certified, municipalities are required to update and recertify their boundaries for the purposes of election of town officers.

At the September 25, 2022 Town Council meeting, the Town Council adopted an ordinance recertifying the Election District map for the Town of Speedway. No major changes have been made to the geographic boundaries of each Town Council District but only small modifications to account for expansion of certain Town boundaries. A new map was created to more clearly outline the boundaries of those districts including references to major street names and the addition of infrastructure changes to Crawfordsville Road, such as the construction of the roundabout.

The map below illustrates the boundaries of Speedway’s five Town Council Election Districts that align with each elected representative.
