Water Line Flushing at Fire Hydrants begins April 17, 2023

The Town of Speedway Water Works will begin its regularly scheduled water line flushing at fire hydrants beginning April 17, 2023.
Controlled flushing ensures consistent water circulation throughout the water distribution system. While hydrant flushing may cause temporary discoloration to your water, there is no health hazard associated with discolored water. Water is safe to use and consume during hydrant flushing, however, it is advised to avoid doing laundry during this time to avoid fabric stains.
