Annual Drinking Water Quality Report
The Speedway Water Works monitors the water quantity of our water sources, at the different stages of the treatment process, the finished water before it is pumped to the town, and throughout the town. The Annual Drinking Water Quality Report is provided to Speedway Water Works customers each year and is designed to keep customers informed about the Water Department and the quality of the drinking water over the previous year. Speedway Water Works’ goal is to provide the community with a safe and dependable supply of drinking water. The most recent Annual Drinking Water Quality Report is available at the Water Works Office or on the Water Works webpage.

Water Hardness
Speedway Water Works uses both surface water and ground water. During the warm months (usually April - November) surface water is used. Our surface water has an average hardness of 250 mg/L or 14.6 gpg. During the cold months (usually December - March) ground water is used. Our ground water has an average hardness of 375 mg/L or 21.2 gpg.
