Division of Fire Prevention

• Provides public education and information to help the community learn about fire and injury prevention.
• Inspects Speedway businesses to help reduce risks of fire and loss of life in establishments along with ensuring the safety of patrons.
• Reviews new building plans to confirm compliance with fire codes and local requirements.

Fire Drills

• Fire drills are offered to businesses to provide critical advice on businesses evacuation plans. These drills must be scheduled and observed by Speedway Fire Department personnel and/or an Aerial Company.

Smoke Detector Program

• Smoke detectors are available for no cost and are available by calling 317-246-4360.
